Soap Selected for the Prague International Children & Youth Film Festival
We’re delighted to share news that filmmakers from Studio have had their work selected for screening at #TeenFest, the Prague International Children and Youth Film Festival.
We’re incredibly proud of the crew behind the film, who we know worked hard on this production. It’s always a real honour to be selected for film festivals, especially international ones, so this is a fantastic achievement. Well done to all the cast and crew!
During the Summer Shoots, Studio 5 (aged 14-18) crew members from Sparks Film School in Hampstead produced this short film.
The film shows a surrealist journey through dream-like impossibilities. It’s an original film idea inspired by our 2019 Summer Shoots theme: The Stuff of Dream and Nightmares.
The film’s slick editing style caught the attention of programmers at the film festival. We also love its fun visual wipes and graphic matches.
Soap will be screened along with other work by young filmmakers (aged 8-21) during the international film festival. The event runs from 14th – 15th December 2019 in Prague and celebrates the work of children and youth filmmakers. There will be awards given to films judged to be the strongest in several categories, including documentary, fiction and animation.
We’re wishing the crew members the best of luck!
