November 2025: Congratulations to the crews behind Time Dice from Sparks Film School Chelsea & Fulham
This month’s Film of The Month Award goes to filmmakers from Sparks Film School Chelsea & Fulham for their exciting and fun film Time Dice. Congratulations to all the filmmakers involved in this production!
The film was created by young filmmakers in (Studio 2 and 3 ages 7-11) during their action packed 2025 summer camps.
Time Dice is a fun and adventurous romp through time. The film follows a detective as he tries to uncover the whereabouts of a missing famous scientist, leading him on an adventure through time with a group of time traveling kids!
The film is a really snappy and light hearted fun film, full of great special effects and lots of creativity in how the crew have chosen to portray different time periods they travel to.
From the Judges…
Firstly our panel were very impressed by the crew’s very imaginative and creative use of special effects. The story centres largely on the group using time traveling dice to take them to different time periods. The crew have used green screen, and post production edits to create some really fun and interesting special effects here with time travel.
When the group travel to different periods they are always in an appropriate and clear backdrop for the time, letting us the audience clearly know they have travelled through time.
The crew also use their venue’s real surroundings to their advantage, such as an old wood and marble staircase set for the scene set in the 1800’s. Really great use of location and green screen from the crew here!

Our panel also loved the use of comedy in this film. The crew clearly wanted to create a quick, snappy, and fun film with an element of mystery and drama.
The comedy side of the film is really strong, especially in the moments of quickly traveling from one time period to another when the group ‘overshot’ the roll of the dice.
The moments directly to the camera, the quick transitions as they fumble throughout time, the chaotic nature of the adventure, all really lend to the film’s light hearted tone and make for a great fun film with a sense of intrigue too!

Finally the crew have clearly used costumes and setting really well here. The characters are all clearly separated by costume and this clearly highlights the characters to us as an audience, such as the detective hat giving us an idea of who he is and his role in the story instantly.
The use of costumes for the characters stuck in other time periods is also great! The use of costume and backdrop, or location, are an incredibly important part of storytelling in film.
These allow us as an audience to join in with the characters in Time Dice as we also guess where in history the group has travelled to based on the location and costume. Really great work here crew!

Overall our panel were very impressed with the crew of Sparks Chelsea and Fulham’s work on Time Dice. A very fun film with some great special effects and pacing! Congratulations to the crew for winning November’s Film Of The Month!
