Everyone gets stuck into the action, trying their hand at directing, camera, crewing and of course starring in their movie too.
Non-Stop Movie Making Fun
Into the Action….
The adventure kicks off with a fun crash course in movie making. From mastering camera angles to perfecting their on-screen presence, the children delve into hands on cast and crew activities.
Then, it’s “Lights, Camera, Action!” with your own personalised movie shoot. Guided by their imaginations and our supportive party team, the children step into the spotlight on both sides of the camera to create their own unique movie production.
The fun doesn’t stop there. After the final take, it’s time to celebrate with a ‘Cast and Crew’ screening of the rushes, where the children celebrate together and relive the magic, just in time to enjoy the birthday cake or party tea.
Afterwards, our dedicated team transforms the raw footage from your child’s movie making party into a polished masterpiece for everyone to enjoy. We craft a fun and special movie production that captures every magical moment of the day.

Where do the Movie Making Parties take place?
Sparks movie making parties are mobile. Our movie making parties team will travel to your home or chosen venue, with all the equipment to turn your space into a pop-up film set.
Our party team can cover areas of Bristol and London (Chelsea, Fulham, Highgate, Hampstead, Kensington, Balham, Dulwich, Greenwich, Wimbledon, Chiswick, Ealing, Kingston, Richmond and Teddington). Our party team is expanding, and we have plans to launch new party teams soon.

What kind of space is needed?
We’re used to working in all kinds of venues, from living rooms to lobbies. All we need is some weather protection, access to mains power outlets, and ideally a TV screen for us to show back their film clips.
We can recommend some ideal partner venues, who can also provide catering and additional party services too.
How many children can take part in a Movie Making Party?
Sparks movie making parties work best with groups of between 5 and 15 children, although we can accommodate larger groups on request.
Our parties work best with children aged between 7 and 13, although it isn’t a problem to include younger siblings too.
What’s included within the Movie Making Party package?
Sparks movie making parties are an entertainment package. We provide a 2 hour movie making workshop, which includes a crash course in filmmaking, a personalised movie shoot and a Cast and Crew screening of the rushes (unedited footage).
We provide all the equipment. We also edit your film and provide your unique movie production to you after the event.
What about costumes?
We recommend inviting your guests to arrive in their own costume, linked to your chosen theme.
This helps to build excitement for the party and also means that we can maximise the time available on the day for shooting movie scenes (rather than waiting for lots of costume changes to happen, which can easily eat up into the time and lead to long periods of waiting around).
What themes can I choose from?
We aim to tailor every single party to your child’s interests, so every single party and movie production is unique. We can work with any theme you choose, but we you can also find some suggestions for popular themes that work brilliantly for any shoot.

Can I choose a Movie Making Party for other events?
Yes – in addition to children’s birthday parties, we also deliver Movie Making Parties as part of weddings (children’s entertainment), Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, school leaving parties and other family events. We also work with corporate clients for family events and away days.
How much do Movie Making Parties cost?
Please talk to us about your event, so that we can provide you with a detailed quote.
A deposit is required to secure your party date, and the remaining balance is due 14 days before your party takes place.
How far in advance do I need to book?
We recommend checking availability at least one month in advance of your party date. Our movie making parties are popular and often book up 3-6 months ahead.
