At Sparks Film School, our filmmaking classes help young people aged 5 – 18 turn screen time into something meaningful. Working with professional film equipment and guided by DBS-checked industry filmmakers, students learn directing, camera, acting, screenwriting, editing, teamwork and creative confidence in a fun and supportive environment.
From creating their own short films to developing original ideas and working as part of a real film crew, Sparks gives young people hands-on experience in the world of filmmaking while building valuable life skills along the way.
We offer every new student a free trial class so they can experience Sparks before committing to a full term. It’s the perfect chance to meet the tutors, get hands-on with the equipment, and see what makes our classes so exciting.

Saturdays during Term Time
Studio 2 (Ages 7-9): 10.30am – 12.30pm
Studio 3 (Ages 9-11): 10.30am – 12.30pm
Studio 4 (Ages 11-14): 10.30am – 12.30pm
Classes are based at Durston House School, 2-14 Castlebar Road, Ealing, W5 2DR
Membership Options:
After you’ve taken part in your free filmmaking class, you’ll have the option to sign up as a fully-fledged member. There is no obligation to sign up, but we hope that you’ll join us to continue your filmmaking journey.
There are options to join on a termly payment plan, or a monthly payment plan (with payments spread out across the year). There are 10 classes each term, which run September – December, January – March and April – July.
Termly: £325.00 per term
Membership is available on a termly basis, which is automatically renewable each term.
For membership on the monthly payment plan, each term is payable over 4 monthly instalments: Autumn Term (September, October, November, December), Spring Term (January, February, March, April) and Summer Term (May, June, July, August).
