Description
Explore a combination of filmmaking, animation, photography and mixed media during the May Half Term.

If you love making videos, taking photos, drawing characters, building stories, or experimenting with creative tech, this is your chance to immerse yourself in a week of multimedia creativity.
The Multimedia Camp is a hands-on, creative experience where students explore multiple screen arts in one varied, action-packed 3 days of creativity, guided by our team of media instructors.
Across the week, you’ll work like a real creative studio team: generating ideas, learning practical techniques and creating a set of finished pieces you can share with family and friends (and proudly add to your portfolio).

What you’ll make:
By the end of the 3-day half term camp, you’ll have created a unique collection of multimedia work that combines media storytelling with visual creativity.
You’ll get to:
– develop creative concepts and experiment with different styles
– plan and shoot short filmmaking sequences (with real crew roles)
– plan and create animation sequences
– shoot and edit your own photography collection
– build mixed media art pieces that combine visuals, sound, movement and story
– refine and present your work as a finished set of creative outcomes
New to screen arts? We’ll guide you step-by-step. Already making content? We’ll help you level up fast.

What you’ll learn: Multimedia Techniques
The Multimedia Camp supports learning how different creative skills connect, so you can tell better stories and make stronger work.
In interactive workshop sessions, students will explore:
- The fundamentals of filmmaking: shot types, camera movement, framing, performance and simple directing
- Storytelling for screen: characters, visual storytelling, pace, and how to keep an audience watching
- Animation Skills: movement, timing, expression, and how to bring ideas to life frame-by-frame
- Photography skills: composition, lighting, perspective, and how to capture a moment with purpose
- Mixed media creativity: combining footage, photos, drawings, textures, sound and effects to create something unique
- Editing essentials: selecting your best takes, building rhythm, adding music/SFX, and polishing your final portfolio pieces

Real Creative Learning
Our camps share how creative projects are made in the real world, in a way that’s fun, supportive, and age-appropriate.
That means:
– planning properly in Pre-Production (so projects run smoothly)
– working as part of a ‘real’ creative team, using structured workflows and plenty of equipment
– creating with intention during Production (making choices, testing ideas, improving fast)
– refining and finishing outcomes in Post-Production (editing, selecting, polishing, presenting)
Learning is practical and outcome-led, with clear skill progression and finished work as the end result.

Age Groups

Students work in peer age groups so everyone can feel confident and challenged at the right level:
