We Are the World Spring 2026
Young filmmakers unite to create powerful stories that inspire global change. One frame, one voice, one planet.
Students will learn how to build compelling stories around environmental topics, whether through dramatic fiction or factual documentary approaches. We Are the World is an adventure-based exploration of real-world issues through the excitement of film production.
As part of the term, students taking part in filmmaking classes will learn lots of documentary specific techniques, including how to interview, how to film and produce factual stories and how to build narratives working with a range of source material.
Alongside this, film students will also use the environment to help drive narrative fiction projects, where they will develop their own original storylines and produce a series of short films that use the environment as a character and an agent of change within their productions.
