In exciting news for aspiring filmmakers in Wales, Sparks is proud to announce the opening of Sparks Film School Cardiff West.

This expansion marks an exciting opportunity for young filmmakers to tell their stories and unleash their creative potential in the vibrant cultural hub of Cardiff. Sparks Film School Cardiff West will offer a range of weekly classes and holiday camps for children and teenagers aged 5-18.

Alyn and Christine Luker are excited to be heading up our first Sparks Film School in Wales. They are our latest Sparks Film School franchise partners, and we’re excited to help them launch their film school. Alyn and Christine have years of experience in the film and TV industry. Alyn works as a third and a first assistant director, and has produced content for children’s TV (Ditectifs Hanes for S4C). Christine’s experience extends to years of working in the film finance sector. Together they bring a whole host of experience and skills from the world of media production both on and off the set. We can’t wait to see their film school in action!

We are very excited to launch our film school: to bring our knowledge and experience of this creative industry to the children of Cardiff. To create great friendships and adventures through film making. We can’t wait to see what we end up making!

We both moved to London to seek work in the creative sector. We are both passionate about the creative potential across the United Kingdom, and are excited to welcome Alyn and Christine as our latest Sparks Film School franchisees, and to mark Sparks’ first step into Wales.
