A Hub for Creative Talent in the Heart of Athens
Sparks Film School Athens is the result of a partnership between the Sparks Head Office team in London, UK and Konstantinos Kollaros, an entrepreneur based in Greece.

Film is a powerful medium that allows children to express their ideas, tell stories, and explore their imaginations in ways that are both engaging and educational. It’s important that we all look to the future and what inspires me most is seeing the transformation in children as they discover their creative voices. Watching them grow in confidence, learn new skills, and collaborate with their peers on film projects is incredibly rewarding. I look forward to creating an environment where students feel inspired and supported to explore all aspects of filmmaking, from directing to acting to editing, while having fun and building friendships.

Global Collaborations, Local Impact
As part of its mission to inspire, empower and equip future filmmakers, Sparks Film School started to expand beyond its London base in 2019, with the ambition of reaching young filmmakers all over the world.
“When we first set out on this journey, Donna [my co-founder] and I were both so passionate about providing opportunities for young filmmakers, and potential young filmmakers, wherever they happened to live. Neither of us come from London and we felt these kinds of opportunities were so hard to come by, despite us knowing that there are hotspots for creativity and talent all over.
We wanted to see a Sparks Film School in every corner of the UK, and we’re so proud to have wonderful franchise partners in Cardiff, in Glasgow, in Sheffield, and in many more UK locations that help us to achieve that goal.
To be able to share that just five years on, we’re now about to launch a school in Athens marks an incredible milestone for us on our journey. We’re so excited to work with Konstantinos and to start facilitating progess and opportunities for the Sparks Film School students of Greece!”
