KidRated features unique reviews from young people on family and youth-focused events and attractions
Sparks Film School, the UK’s leading film school for children and young people, is thrilled to announce a dynamic new partnership with KidRated, the ultimate review website for family days out, attractions, and events, powered by kids themselves.
This exciting collaboration will see Sparks students become official critics. They’ll gain exclusive access to review the latest and greatest family-focused attractions, events and experiences across the UK.

Sparks Film School is the UK’s leading training provider for young filmmakers (ages 5-18) in the UK
By combining Sparks Film School’s focus on media literacy and creative storytelling with KidRated’s platform for authentic, peer-to-peer insights, the partnership aims to empower young people to share their unique perspectives on the entertainment designed for them.
Through this partnership, Sparks students will have the unique opportunity to attend press previews, launch events, and leading attractions. They will apply their filmmaking, interviewing, and critical thinking skills to produce engaging video and written reviews, which will be featured prominently on the KidRated platform.
“We are absolutely delighted to partner with KidRated,” says Dan Farrell at Sparks Film School. “At Sparks, we are all about giving young people the skills and confidence to express themselves through film and media. This partnership takes that a step further by giving our students a real-world platform and a powerful voice. We can’t wait to see their creativity shine as they review some of the UK’s best family experiences.”

Simon London at KidRated added, ”We’re really excited to be joining forces with Donna, Dan and all the team at Sparks. KidRated was founded on the belief that the best people to review kids’ experiences are kids themselves. Partnering with Sparks Film School is a perfect match. Sparks students already have a fantastic eye for detail, storytelling, and digital media. Their insights will be invaluable to families looking for honest, fun, and high-quality reviews of the latest attractions.”
Key Highlights of the Partnership:
- Exclusive Press Access: Sparks students will receive special invitations to review new and leading family-focused events, theme parks, theatrical productions and museum exhibitions.
- Real-World Media Experience: Students will develop practical skills in journalism, critical analysis and purposeful content production.
- Authentic Guidance for Families: Parents, guardians and kids will benefit from honest, high-quality reviews written by kids, for kids, helping them make informed choices for family days out.
The partnership kicks off from next month, with the first student reviews set to drop on the KidRated website soon.
